A nongovernmental organization headquartered in Amsterdam, founded in 1929 by Maria Montessori herself to maintain and develop her pedagogy and make it available to as many children as possible worldwide. It remains the Montessori organization founded directly by Montessori, and today accredits training courses and schools that follow her method.
