The International Baccalaureate is a nonprofit foundation, officially established in Geneva in 1968, that develops internationally standardized curricula, beginning with the Diploma Programme and later adding the Middle Years, Primary Years and Career-related Programmes. It grew from the work of educators at the International School of Geneva seeking a university-entrance qualification for internationally mobile students, and it has no single credited founder.
