The University of Khartoum is a public university located in Khartoum, Sudan, and the largest and oldest university in the country. It was founded as Gordon Memorial College in 1902 and established as a university when Sudan gained independence in 1956. It has been recognized as a top academic institution in Sudan and Africa.
