Stepped Pyramid, Six Tiers

A hierarchical classification of educational learning objectives developed by a committee chaired by Benjamin Bloom and first published in 1956. Its cognitive domain orders thinking skills from simple recall through to complex evaluation and creation, and it has been used ever since to design curricula, write learning objectives, and build assessments that target a specific level of thinking rather than only factual recall.
