American educational theorist who has taught organizational behavior at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. Kolb developed the Experiential Learning Model in the early 1970s with colleague Ron Fry, describing learning as a cycle of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization and active experimentation, and built the widely used Learning Style Inventory from the same framework.
